Pio and Odredi: Long Awaited Love

Lili, 23, and Antwan, 24, met January 18th, 2016. After progressing a friendship of over a year, the two decided that they were meant to be together. The couple have been dating now for six months. Antwan knew, after just a month of knowing Lili, that his feelings have grown to be more than just a friendship. He kept his feelings to himself for quite a while, which Lili noticed. From the first day these two met, Lily knew that it was something that she didn’t want to let go of, and the relationship progressed from there.

The attraction developed instantly, according to the couple. Antwan says that it’s her personality that first attracted him to her and that she had a heart that’s out of this world. It was a blissful moment for the both of them. Lily could see the commitment, compassion, and dedication in Antwan from the moment they met.

After a year of what they knew would always be deeper than a normal friendship, Antwan spilled his heart out to her in a paragraph. Lily, on the other hand, always wore her heart on her sleeve when it came to showing her interest. Although the two knew they wanted to be with each other, neither of them thought it would ever actually happen, but they never gave up.

Antwan and Lily both agree that, like most relationships, theirs is not perfect. One of the hardest parts in their relationship is Antwan’s lack of patience. However, this issue has never been a deal breaker for either of them. The two agree that they can’t stay mad at each other for long. They work on their communication and get back to “I love you(‘s)” within minutes.

They have dealt with negative and positive feedback from others throughout their relationship, but the only thing that matters to them is how they feel about each other. The lovely couple are now married, have six children, own a home, and are working on building a real-life relationship. They plan to continue to grow their relationship, accomplish their goals and spend more time together.

The couple’s advice to young couples who find themselves not knowing what to do, they say to never give up, pick and choose your battles, remember all the good times when times get hard, don’t let anyone else get between you and your significant other and stay loyal. Trust and communication are the keys to a healthy relationship.
