Verve X Magazine: Exclusive

Hello, my beautiful and handsome people and handsome people. It is your girl Lavender back but with a Magazine exclusive. Yes, this is actually different from my usual blog posts: Where it's mostly filled with advice, tips, and all that other good stuff that can help you improve yourself as a person or use in your daily life. But this will help you get your taste buds running for not just the cover but for what helps put it all together.

So, I have made it my duty and my interest in getting to know the Magazine and the chief editor of this wonderful piece of art that he created with his team through hard work and dedication.

Most of you probably have maybe already asked yourself – what does it take to make a successful magazine? And I bet most of you have already said: It can't be that hard!

So! I have something that would clear up the misunderstanding you probably may and may not have about what it takes to make a successful magazine. It is the TRUTH of what Xvd, the chief editor of Verve X Magazine had to do, to make his Magazine a well-read today.

Interview

Okay, so why create Verve X Magazine?

Xvd: I started Verve X Magazine because I wanted to provide people with a quality magazine; a good read. I wanted to work with skillful, passionate, creative people and inspire them to work and grow together in a positive and professional environment – rare to find on IMVU.

Okay, and was there anything specific that brought on this idea in the past?

Xvd: I was part of an organization and got kicked out, I was also part of two other magazines but they went inactive. I tried to take over one magazine, I told them they will be owners and founders and I'll just be president or whatever, but they didn't let me, so I made my own.

Impressive, so why a magazine? Why not something else?

Xvd: I wanted to raise magazine standards on IMVU while also providing the IMVU community with a good read about their own community.

And did you have a co-owner that helped?

No. We do have an Executive Editor, Voque@IMVU.

Wow, and how do you think your reader's view your magazines?

Xvd: I wouldn't want to assume what they think, so reviews can be given on our Instagram or our official group. Most reviews are positive.

And what about your staff?

Xvd: What about them?

What do they think? Have you asked for their point of views on issues or anything else that has to do with VXM?

Xvd: Yes, it's a team effort. They get to read the magazine first before it hits the public, they suggest improvements or request for changes to be made. Once the team has nothing more to add, it gets published.

And do you consider it useful?

Xvd: Obviously, otherwise I wouldn’t ask them for their input.

Lol good. So what do have in plan for VXM? Do you plan to make more improvements to the magazine?

Xvd: We don’t reveal our future plans unless it's time to hit the public. I guess you'd have to wait and see. However, we do have our 18-month celebration approaching.

Would you say you've experienced some personal growth from being the owner and taking care of a whole staff of people that count on you?

Xvd: Yes

Good, was your expectation for your magazine met?

Xvd: Not yet.

Why's that?

Xvd: It's not where I'd like it to be yet.

Okay, can you talk a little about your startup of this magazine?

Xvd: Sure, ask me questions about it and I'll answer.

What was the hardest part about starting this magazine?

Xvd: Finding reliable staff – still is.

Oh, and do you find it hard being the head of these people hard?

Xvd: No

Xvd is a man of great taste and quality. And according to him, he's a "Jack-of-all-Trades" and I couldn't have agreed more. He is a perfectionist, he is critical, smart, outspoken, blunt, honest, loyal, hardworking and creative. All the traits that'll make you fall head over heels for a guy like him.

But let's not forget about his wonderful, handsome, and beautiful staff. They work with him to create the masterpiece we call "Verve X Magazine," and we've done nothing but fell in love with it.

The staff of this amazing magazine is like family. Though they may have their conflicts, they don't let that be their downfall. They keep their eyes on the goal that's to be reached.

But overall, they are just people that love to share a few laughs and tell stupid jokes. Just enjoying each other’s company and have conversations.

This team can be serious. They can be funny. They can be talking about the next big thing and telling a joke the next. They can stress about a deadline and can be calm collecting it. They could have a few fights and it can get serious. But, this teams main goal is not only to give a good read but make each other happy in delivering it.

So, creating a magazine is not always fun and games. It's about hard-work, dedication, and the team that you have behind you. And sure there may be a few bumps in the road but with the support of the people behind you, there is nothing you can't do.

Xvd is not only a living example but he is one of the few TRUTHS that I have faith in.
