VXM SOTM: Voque

Vicky, known as Voque, has been a member of IMVU since 2008 and is currently the Executive Managing Editor of Verve X Magazine [VXM]. But who is she outside of VXM and how did she gain that title?

Vicky is one of VXM’s longest-standing staff members. Originally, she held the role of assisting Xvd, the Chief Editor and owner of the magazine, with basic editing of grammar and sentence structures but throughout the weeks, her role developed into something more serious and, eventually, she took on the title as Executive Editor, which made her responsible for all Copy Editors and Writers of the magazine. Vicky did editing for a year until she recently decided to change roles to become Executive Managing Editor, responsible for all of the Managing Editors of the magazine. She stated,

“I was the EE for over a year, and to be honest, being the EME now is very refreshing. It’s given me the opportunity to try something new and different and I’m enjoying it a lot!”

Vicky is married and has four children. Before the magazine, Vicky spent most of her time on IMVU creating couple poses and female clothing but now, when Vicky is not busy with the magazine, she enjoys buying new rooms to take photos in, long walks in the sun, eating pastries, watching movies, and spending time with her friends and family. Some of her favorite shows include Suits and Blacklist. She is, also, an original adrenaline junkie and in love with heights. One thing she values most in a person is honesty and loyalty. Her phone is something she definitely cannot go two days without.

Her goal with VXM is to raise magazine standards and to continue improving and providing quality content. She cites her position at VXM as,

“Having improved [her] skills and being able to be a part of a team that produces such a great quality magazine.”

One of the challenges that she has faced as Executive Editor has been producing articles within deadlines. Now that she is settling into her new position as the Executive Managing Editor, she has a new challenge: getting in-sync with the Managing Editors and keeping them motivated to work together.
