IMVU-E is a website linked to our virtual world. Though the site holds many features, the one it’s most famous for is giving IMVU users the ability to un-hide the outfit of anyone their in the room with. However, the site has been updated to make it even easier to invade another’s private attire causing an uproar in the community. You no longer need to be in a chat to look up an outfit.

IMVU-E’s hidden outfit viewer can search all previously un-hidden and hidden outfits of a user. All you have to do is access the website, click on the “hidden outfit viewer,” and it will instruct you to type in the username or the I.D number of the desired avatar. Minutes later, you’ll see a list of every outfit new or old that user has saved, including ANY custom items most people paid extra just to be hidden.

$5 bucks to hide your outfit!

You have the option to opt out on your account being viewable to the public. As the owner states, sending credits is no longer an option because people were sending fraudulent credits to his account. Now, the only way you can hide your outfits is by paying $5 via PayPal.

Want our advice? Read on.

We’ve done our research and tried to get around it by deleting and hiding our outfits. We’ve even tried clearing our cache to see if we can opt out of the system without paying, but nothing worked. Contacting IMVU is far stretched because the privacy violation isn’t necessarily happening on their servers, so we highly doubt anything can be done about it on their end. Our advice? If you don’t wish for your outfits to be viewed, simply pay the five bucks and keep it pushing.

This website has been up and running for YEARS, so we doubt they plan on going anywhere any time soon. With that being said, you have the option to take full advantage of the other services they have to offer.
