Recently, VXM sat down with Jazeus and Niyaux, the founders of Gamma Omicron Delta and Sigma Iota Xi respectively, to discuss their ideals on the revolution of the Greek community.
GOD was founded on July 8, 2015 by Jazeus (The Enlightened Sovereign Vitality) and SIX was founded on March 5, 2016 by Niyaux (Sr. Seraphim Divine). Based on their common goals and ideals, both organizations decided to collaborate with one another for an upcoming Launch that is said to be the reformation of the Greek community of IMVU.
“There are shortcomings throughout our community that need to be addressed and [resolved] in order for the Greek community to grow and strive,” Jazeus explained, “So be there and be prepared for a revolution because we are not having it anymore!”
Both organizations hope that the Launch will “spark a fire of conviction” within the Greek community, motivating them to do better.
“This event is not meant to slander [anyone] but [is meant] to change the way things are done in the Greek world,“ Niyaux indicated.
Many organizations are created and/or exist for different reasons. It is the opinion of Jazeus that many of them only exist to “have the best events, the cutest gear, or to gain the most likes on photostream” but they look down upon the lesser known organizations.
“GOD has a plan to help mend the Greek community and make it more appealing to those who aren’t yet a part of anything. Greek life is supposed to be more than what it is today.”
Both organizations are currently trying to build themselves back up after some members on both sides had to take a step back for a period of time.
“I had to endure some RL hardships [which] caused me to walk away from IMVU for a while, resulting in having to leave my organization behind. When I returned, initially, I had decided not to come back to the Greek community due to it’s present state but I was approached with the idea of starting GOD over. So I helped Dvddy, Bidzii, Suavino, and Earal bring it back to life and I took a step back from being a founder and just consider myself the Visionary,” Jazeus explained.
“SIX has been around for a while,” Niyaux said, “but, because of RL situations, we haven’t been able to do the things that we wanted to do in order to move our organization to the next level. This collaboration is an opportunity that we cannot miss. It will help us to move forward and benefit us in the long run.”
Being a part of the Greek community can and has greatly impacted many individuals.. For Jazeus, his upbringing helped mold him. He was involved in community-focused groups like the NAACP, Top Teens of America, CCF, and UNCF, which helped him learn how to co-mingle with diverse groups of people in order to reach a common goal.
When asked how being in a Greek organization changed Niyaux, she replied,
“For me, being a leader and a part of an organization is nothing new. I’ve done so in RL, which I apply to IMVU, but I don’t see it as the Greek community changing me. I see it as me changing the Greek community.”
The date of the Greek Launch took place on the 5th of February. All attendees were asked to come dressed in gear that represents a riot, revolution, militia, etc.
To put it in the words of Jazeus,
“Everyone be ready to incite war on the current Greekhood Falsities!”
