Beta Nu Xi
When we think of Fraternity, the first thing that comes to mind is drunken parties and outlandish antics, especially during the pledge period. People often forget about the brotherhood aspect,, loyalty, and the camaraderie of knowing they will have your back no matter what. Sir Legend Vigilant; who prefers to be called Tee, is part of the Beta Nu Xi which was recently founded in August of 2016. His want of showing his love and support for the Greek community is one of the main reasons for wanting to start this fraternity.
Beta Nu Xi was founded August 8th, 2016 by Tee, who always wanted to be a part of Greek community decided after a few pledges to different Fraternities it was time to start their own Fraternity and BNX was born. When asked why he chose to start his fraternity in August, Tee expressed that he wanted BNX to be perfect before allowing pledges to join. The only members as of now are Tee and the president of his fraternity, however, the first line of pledging starts November 7, 2016.
BNX currently has Tee, and their president, with a few potential pledges. What they’re looking for in their pledges is very simple: loyalty, dedication, and seriousness. The pledging period for BNX is two weeks. Within these two weeks, pledges will be learning team building skills and perfecting their history on the frat. Tee’s goal is for the pledges to have each other’s backs through thick and thin. If prospect pledges miss the first line of recruiting, there’s no need to worry because the second line will be recruiting in a month or two. Though AP isn’t officially a requirement for pledging, most of BNX’s rooms are AP. Online everyone is trying to find their place in the many different communities here on IMVU, and even though there are many to choose from, BNX believes that not many offer the bond and loyalty that Beta Nu Xi can. Looks like fraternities are not dead and like Sir Legend Vigilant; Tee, is wanting to provide a place for people to feel accepted which isn’t that what we’re all hoping to find at some level or another. As Tee said, "BNX is Coming Before You Know It."
