Kardashian's Debated Robbery: Real or Staged?

What Happened:

On October 3rd 2016, reality star and wife of rapper Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, was robbed at gunpoint while visiting Paris for fashion week. She was allegedly gagged, tied up, and placed in a bathroom while 5 men dressed as police officers raided her hotel room, stealing 10 million dollars worth of jewelry and valuables. Many reports claim Kim was dressed in only a bathrobe when the culprits entered the room, after bounding Kardashian's hands with zip ties, the thieves carried her into the bathroom. They didn't speak a bit of English, however that didn't stop Kim from begging and pleading for her life; revealing the fact that she was a mother and she needed to live for her babies. Ignoring her completely, the robbers kept her at gunpoint until they were done collecting her valuables. Though it is unclear which specific items were stolen, it has been confirmed the thieves took off with the starlet’s $4.9 million 20-carat emerald cut diamond Lorraine Schwartz ring, gifted to her by her husband Kanye West after he signed a huge Adidas deal. Kim flashed this very same ring days before the robbery while being interviewed by Andy Cohen on his show. Upon research, we've also learned a $5 million jewelry box and two of Kim's iPhones were stolen. Kanye west was on his “Saint Pablo” tour performing on stage when he got word of his wife's misfortune. Stopping the show, Mr. West told the crowd he had a family emergency and hurried off stage to be with his wife. Their children, however, were not in Paris during the robbery; they were in the U.S. safely among family and friends during the occurrence.

Real Or Staged?

When we first heard about the robbery, it is nearly impossible to deny that some of us questioned the authenticity of the whole thing. Before you shame us for being insensitive, please keep in mind that the Kardashians are the QUEENS of publicity stunts; they often bring attention (good or bad) to themselves around the time their reality show is about to air. Ironically, KUWTK Season 13 will be airing sometime this Fall. Research shows that it seems the robbery was indeed real, scary, and life-changing for Kim and her family. New details have surfaced almost daily since that night and it’s all pointing towards the robbery being a inside job.

But How?!

How did the robbers know Kim's only security guard would be out and about with her sisters? How did they know he was her only security guard? For all they SHOULD have known, a camera crew could have been there; however, it is obvious that they knew better. Finally, everyone's favorite question: how did the robbers know Kim's security code for her rented apartment? With all eyes being on the Kardashians, it is quite difficult to pinpoint a good time to rob one of them, let alone the one most popular Kardashian. Unless, of course, someone was working on the inside. To make matters even more confusing, Kim wasn't alone when she was hit! Her close friend and stylist, Simone Harouche, was in the apartment during the time of the incident. They say she was in her room when she heard noises and called for the security guard; but sources are not giving a lot of information on Simone or whether or not she was encountered.

In Conclusion

At this point, no one really knows how Kim's robber got away with the perfect crime. Could it be a team of good hackers with good timing or a group of men who have inside knowledge of the K-Clan? Everyone has their theories on the subject but whatever the case, here at Verve X Magazine, we were glad everyone got out of the situation with their lives and unharmed. Jewels and valuables can be replaced, but a human life cannot. We wish Paris the best of luck on finding the culprits and although we are a media outlet ourselves, we urge everyone interested in the matter to have respect for Kim and her family right now, contrary to popular belief. Despite her star status and controversial rise to fame, she is still a person with feelings, family, and people who love her. She is just as important as any mother who was in danger of losing her life. From our understanding, she is still very shook up over the incident and has rarely made a public appearance since! The Kardashians have increased security surrounding Kim, but as with every other case, this is to be treated as a real situation until further proven otherwise.

Update: Insiders say Kim and Kanye do not suspect the security guard on duty to be involved. Pascal Duvier continues to work for the family.
