AsapG0d: OTX
“The Que Dawgz who run the yard.”
The Beginning. The desire for authority and structure prompted AsapG0d to start his own fraternity and he is already predicting greater outcomes for his new organization. With no experience with real or IMVU greeks, [real name] had the guidance of his real-life parents when he launched Omega Theta Xi Fraternity on April 4, 2016. He defines authority as being able to fellowship as a leader and be an example of pride and dedication. Though authority is very important to him, [real name] puts himself at the same level with his brothers. “I don’t want anybody to think I’m only thinking about myself,” he says, “We are all one and also one family.”
The Values. For him, the words “authority” and “brother” are synonymous with each other. He sees authority as taking pride and showing the capability in being your brother’s keeper. Showing his leadership is a good way to make sure that the fraternity runs smoothly with no complications. He passes this authority and brotherhood onto his current and future brothers by being a hard worker and dedicating his time and creativity to the fraternity. He strives to have brothers who are loyal. His idea of a loyal brother is, “Someone who is dedicated to only one fraternity. He shows his hard work through his blood, sweat, and tears, and in proving he has what it takes to be a big brother or a brother in the fraternity. To keep an ongoing fraternity, you must show structure and diversity with each notable member.”
The Process. OTX pledging is a two-week long process that mixes business with pleasure by incorporating fun and engaging tasks. During those two weeks, pledges learn more about the real and IMVU history of what it takes to become a QueDawg. He chose to use a real fraternity because his own father is a QueDawg and his mother is a Delta. Along with his current 9 frat brothers, he plans to take what he’s learned about the fraternity in his real life and make it real with OTX.
Closing Thoughts. He has big goals and ambition for OTX. His plans are to make it to an anniversary and to expand their fraternity with more loyal brothers. He plans to show everybody that they are “the champions and also the Que Dawgz who run the yard.”
Along with their sister sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Xi Theta, OTX plans to spread loyalty, discipline, unity, and creativity throughout the IMVU greek community.
