When are scalers too much?

When you first join IMVU, you are given a starter avatar to build from. This avatar acts as the blueprint for your creativity to actually let loose on. So, of course, you want your avatar to fit your personality and stand out. But, let’s just be honest here, you can sometimes take things just a tad too far. You can ESPECIALLY go to extreme lengths when it comes to scalers and making your avatar look realistic. Obviously, you want your avatar to be a reflection of how your body and face look outside of the virtual world, but you should be mindful and careful of certain important aspects to scaling your avatar; such as proportion, the amount used, and realistic look.

It is very understandable that you feel the need to make a statement of yourself with your avatar and style, however, proportion plays a major role in the making of a bomb ass avatar. There are a variety of ways to do your avatar, and you have the freedom to do what you choose; however, some things are just a bit much.

For instance, feet that are three times smaller than your body or thighs that are too big for the rest of your body tend to look deformed. Let's not forget when guys look 4x the size of a girl. It's just too much. There are even those new scalers – you guys know which one I'm talking about – the scalers that make your torso and head look smaller than your legs and thighs...

This may be part of how you show who you truly are, but staying true to tasteful proportion can really elevate the appearance of your avatar. You do not want to make your body look like you’ve been digesting food in all the wrong places; not many people find that to be an attractive look. Fitting scalers can be hard, but it is very doable.

A good tip is to try on the different types of scalers before purchasing anything. You can even ask a friend to help you start your avatar scaler upgrade if you are not sure which one would fit your body. Too many scalers are out and fewer scalers are in, so just do better with your scalers and make your bodies more flawless in the virtual world.
