Fashion Icon – Plastik
Thiago (Plastik) is 19 years old. She first got involved in fashion in April 2017 when she met a model/editor from a competition who showed her the agencies and competitions within IMVU. That's the moment Thiago started practicing to join them one day. That one day sure did come! Today, Thiago has attended agency grand openings, runway finales, award shows and more. She gets many offers to be a runway model, however, she sometimes finds the scheduling can be slightly tricky. While in RL she has attended two fashion shows around her city, and model fittings for local brands.
In RL Thiago is majoring in Interior & Fashion design and this all seemed like a fantastic, and adorable opportunity for her to try out her skills while discovering more about the virtual catalog. She gathers her inspiration from fashion houses such as Rochambeau, Valentino, and Dolce & Gabbana
You might be asking yourself how Thiago would describe her style. In an interview, she stated,
"Very plastic barbie look mixed with fur, and expensive-looking fabrics.”
Which sums it up as jewellery and purses are a must for Thiago’s outfits.
Thiago’s advice to anyone that wants to pursue a place in the fashion side of IMVU is to not rush anything, to take your time on finding out what your brand is, and to also find what defines you. She elaborates that it's important to first experiment with different creators and styles until you find out what suits you. After that, you can go anywhere; always try and find a good agency where you can be trained, but do not get discouraged by any critiques people bring to you as they are only saying it for you to improve.
