She describes herself as, “Candid, funny and gracious” with a strong passion for fashion. She created her very own clothing brand and will be showcasing it in her sellout fashion show next month. Verve X Magazine is here today with Chi - better known as Motha@IMVU - to find out more about her and her upcoming fashion show ‘OOMF’.
Motha has been on IMVU for almost four years now and has been highly involved in fashion since the very first week. She had the desire to create many random items which sprung into her mind.
She wasted no time and got right down to business.
She aspires to have a shop everyone can love, from those who love her, those who hate her and those who don’t even know her. She wants to step up the standards again, as she feels it has been lacking, “IMVU’s shop has been very boring.” In between her busy schedule, she has a few moments available when she enjoys just being lazy. She chats with her sisters, shops or entertains pulse with her posts.
Plush Studios is the brand name Motha created, which she believes is unlike any other brand name on IMVU. She described it as:
“She is very urban, chic kind of gyal, very street n sultry, very diverse. She’s foreign.”
With solid confidence and determination, Motha didn’t stop there. She grew her business with her first sub-brand named “OOMF.” We asked her about the name and in between a few giggles, she said, “I just wanted to give shop a little push, a little oomf, some spice ya’know?”
OOMF is Motha’s first fashion show which takes place on March 5th, 2016. Tickets were sold at an incredible 5,000cr each and the response was unbelievable.
The show was sold out within hours!
Ticket holders are not only privileged to attend the show, but are also receiving exclusive gifts throughout the month to which they have shown huge support and excitement for. Chi told us that there are a number of people who are still trying to purchase tickets as she sympathized, “I feel bad because I do not want anyone to lag and unfortunately, I have to deny a lot of requests.” So those who were too slow to respond or simply indecisive about purchasing tickets for OOMF, work with your impulse and beat the high demand next time! What can the audience expect with the OOMF Fashion Show?
“They can expect a very different fashion show, no shade but it won’t be your typical one or two down the aisle runway,”
she winked. The OOMF fashion show is a big challenge for her which she is taking on with her head up. It’s the first event she is managing, with less than a month to plan and execute with the help of her sisters. She does however have experience as she took part in the “Motion Event” by Pierce. Pierce has been a great inspiration to her, along with Mahogany and Coochie.
VXM attempted to lure more details from her about the show, but she declined to share as it’s a secret. But she has assured us that there will be no disappointments and all will be revealed during and after the show.
